LIVRE "PRATIQUE DES ÉMAUX DE GRÈS"

Since its publication, ‘La Pratique’ has been a reference book. In 1976, Daniel de Montmollin published the short book L'Art de cendres (The Art of Ashes), which describes his experiments and thoughts on glazes made from vegetable ashes. This highly acclaimed work led him to pursue his research and formulate a general method for stoneware glazes.

This fourth edition brings together the two books published successively under the titles Pratique des émaux de grès and Pratique des émaux de cendres.

This updated edition is complemented by the invaluable testimony of ceramist Patrick Buté on his use of this method, which he teaches during the courses he organises in his workshop in Malay (Saône-et-Loire).
