REFRACTORY REVERBERANT PROTECTIVE COATING HC100HT
The protective coating HC100HT is used as an engobe.
It can be used alone if applied on insulating refractories such as brick or ceramic fiber.
2. Before applying the protective coating, you must remove any loose or friable damaged parts.
3. Remove all dust from surfaces.
Remove all debris, dust and grease from the interior walls, doors, hearth and grooves of the heating elements for electric ovens.
4. Prefer spray application: Prepare HC100HT coating by adding half the amount of water as HC-100-HT (e.g. 0.5 liters of water to 1 liter of HC100HT).
5. Spray the surface to be treated using a minimum of 80 psi (5.5 bar) of air pressure.
Note: Take the time to apply the coating to the entire surface to be treated.
The thickness of the sprayed coating should be approximately 1.6 mm to 3 mm.
The distance from the spray tip should be approximately 400 mm from the surface of the fiber or brick.
6. Do not over spray: too thick a coat will damage the material and cause premature deterioration.
7- Let dry overnight.
NOTE: Do not use excessive heat to dry the coating during the first 24 hours after application.
Instead, use a blower to circulate the air or simply let it dry overnight.
The first cure should be started at low temperature for about six hours.
about six hours.
Do not exceed 2500°C.
CAUTION:
Once the spraying process is completed and the drying is complete.
You must control the temperature of your oven, as this will improve the yield and may cause overheating and alter the firing results.
Other packaging of HC100HT coating on order: 4 liters and 19 liters.
Yield: With 0.5 liters you can treat between 2 and 3m².
Other means of application : Brush or roller
