Advice: Do not place the silicate board directly in the heat, place it behind a protective plate.

Calcium silicate is a very good thermal insulator.

Its very low thermal conductivity allows to protect from heat.

Calcium silicate panels are obtained by pressing.

This manufacturing process gives the material an exceptional resistance to crushing. However, if the material is solicited beyond these characteristics, there is neither deformation nor collapse but a total destruction of the material.

To be used mainly on the walls of furnaces with cold faces.

The following precautions must be respected:

1- The support must be flat in order to avoid any deformation under important load (+ 15 kg/cm2). 2- If the support is deformed, it is advisable to avoid bending forces.

3- In the case where anchors, tubes, supports or any metal part would pass through the panels, the passage holes must be 2 to 4 mm larger.

4- It is preferable to install the calcium silicate panels dry without cement or glue in order to allow any dimensional variation without constraint.
