Wollastonite
Cao= 1,00
SiO2 = 1,02
In glazes: It replaces the chalk, a very common way to make stoneware glazes matte (20 to 50% additions)
Molar mass: 116,80
Wollastonite is used as a CaO carrier in glazes to suppress gas formation, thus facilitating the single firing of ceramics.

WOLLASTONITE - CALCIUM METHASILICATE
Alternative source of calcium and carbonate in the high melting point glaze.
The advantage it has over carbonate is that it does not give off gas in the firing, and for this reason it is preferable to use it in single firing when calcium is incorporated in the mill.
