BORAX DESHYDRATE DEHIBOR (SAC DE 25 KG)
BORAX DESHYDRATED DEHIBOR (BAG FROM 25 KG)
Borax dehydrated (Dehibor)
Borax is a sodium borate extracted from natural deposits, particularly in the United States, where it is called tincal.
It is used in the glass industry to make thermal shock resistant glasses and in the ceramic industry to produce enamels.
It is a very common carrier of boron and sodium in frits, which has great power as a flux comparable to lead or alkalis.
Intensifies the coloring effect of oxides.
It is soluble in water and therefore is normally used in melting mixtures.
A weak borax solution has been used since Antiquity to "wet" certain parts of earthenware pieces which tend to "peel" before being glazed and fired.
