CORNISH STONE (CORNWALL STONE)
Cornish Stone ( cornwall ston)
Cornish Stone ( cornwall ston)
An alternative, but not a substitute to feldspar as a high temperature flux, giving greater fired strength.
This stone has a low iron content, so improving whiteness, and a high silica content and so promoting a greater transparency.
It is therefore particularly appropriate for use in china, porcelain and other white bodies.
A white firing flux commonly used in both clay body and glaze preparation.
