Black stoneware African Stone 40% grog 0-0.2 mm - AFRICANSTONE
Very plastic clay, firing of a beautiful black in oxidation and black metallic in reduction.
Recommended for architectural and decorative sculpture. Excellent for modeling, plate work, sculpture etc..
Avoid too thin parts and program a very slowly firing in order to prevent bubble due to manganese.

Advice /
The slower you fire the African Stone, the better your results.
From 1100°C onwards, the temperature should rise slowly so that the oxygen can still pass through the still porous surface. If you climb too fast, you will get deformations, blisters or bursts or slits.
Reducing atmosphere not recommended or with precautions.
Interesting color from 1100°C and up to 1270°C (to have a beautiful black in oxidizing firing follow advice below) /
