Red smooth earthenware - FE

Traditional ferruginous clay, fine and plastic, firing red after oxidizing firing.

Intended for artistic ceramics, decorative, crockery or garden pottery.

Ideal for hand throwing, calibration and pressing plaster mould.

Recommended for “glazed earth” technique.

Excellent agreement with enamels and engobes.

Excellent drying behaviour.

Very nice results in reductive firing, for example the «metallic reflections» technique.

Several firmness are proposed depending on the technique used /

Comes in fine grog 0-0,5 mm or medium grog 0-1,5 mm.
