Smooth brown stoneware from Moutiers - GRM

Clay extracted from our quarry of Moutiers en Puisaye.

Natural ochre coloured clay, baking cork color in oxidation and very brown in reduction.

Reduction effects even fired in oxidation.

Very plastic, suitable for modeling and turning.

Enhances blue and red enamels.

Technical characteristics :

T° Bisqueware / 980 - 1000°C (1796-1832°F)

T° Firing / 1240 - 1270°C (2264-2318°F)

Shrinkage dry / 4.00%

Shrinkage at 1280°C (2336°F) / 8%
