Pigment of mineral origin.
Cassel earth is obtained by grinding brown coal.
These are very finely ground earths or rocks (ochres, earths, natural oxides).
Of great resistance to light (unalterable to ultraviolet), they are non-toxic, have a very strong covering power and are miscible between them.
Advice :
In oil 100 g of pigment, 30 to 100 g of clarified linseed oil, 2 to 8 g of siccative, 1 to 3 g of purified beeswax -
Acrylic 100 g of pigment, 40 to 60 g of acrylic binder, sufficient water.
Beer 1 and a half liters of beer, 6 tablespoons of pigment
In whitewash 2 kg of whitewash, 400 g of alum, 500 g of Meudon white, 10 liters of water, sufficient pigment - In mortar
In mortar Mix dry : lime, sand, pigment, add water little by little, to obtain the desired consistency
