These disc BPCD will help you to control the temperature in your kiln depending on the retract of the disc.

Choose amongst the range of these 2 references, the one which is corresponding to your needs.

Possibility to engrave  a markon the disc:

H for High

L for Low

B for Bottom

etc...

Put and lay out the disc on refractory shelves or on your non glazed pieces or on piece of shard ( discs have to be put always on the same way in order that the retract will be made in the same way .

Once the firing is finished, measure the diameter of the colder disc with a digital caliper; ( it must have 2 decimals points)

Take the measurement contens ( Abaque)

Mark the measure finded and read the temperature corresponding.
